He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Nagel and Emilie Nagel (Otte); his wife Doris Nagel (Kruse); his granddaughter Jennifer Nagel; and his siblings, Leo Nagel and Lillian Nagel.
He is survived by: his children, Barb Wagner (Jim), Chet Nagel (Kathi), Jim Nagel, Rich Nagel (Mary Alice), Janet Zipfel (Steve) and Sue Beilharz (Kraig); and his grandchildren, Amy Wells (Gary), Ryan Bishop, Brett Bishop, Andy Nagel (Sarah), Haley Fryman, Chad Nagel (Andrea), Sarah Durham (Lucas), Kimberly Gerken (Jason), Misty Henry, Jeremiah Nagel (Brandi), Amber Delgado (Lorenso), Corey Nagel (Brooke), Kacee Weber (Eric), Cody Nagel (Savannah), Brandy Rhodes (Brandon), Kate Batt (Alex), Alison Zipfel, Ashley Wagner (Graham) and Zach Beilharz (Kaleigh). He is also survived by thirty-five great-grandchildren.
