He is survived by: his wife Mary (Aden) of Defiance; his son Philip J; his stepdaughter Christina Risner (Rich); his grandchildren, Sydney Batt (Blake Proctor), Tyler Risner (Maci), Tiffani Fintel (Mason), Hanna and Chloe Rickard; and his siblings, Lucille Memmer (Gary) of Defiance, Pennie Rickard Young of Ocala, FL, Rick Rickard (Paulette) of Rising Sun, IN and Rich Rickard (Patty) of Bryan, OH..
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lawson-Roessner Chapel (1753 S Clinton St, Defiance, OH 43512). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (1801 E 2nd St, Defiance, OH 43512).
