She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Miller and Garnet Miller (McCoy); her husband Dennis R. DeTray; and her sister Patricia Ankney. She is survived by: her children, Wayne Smith (Barb) of Defiance and Wendy Smith of Defiance; her siblings, Jim McCoy of Continental, Jeanne Hartzell (Don) of Hamilton, IN and LaDonna Verfaillie of Paulding; her grandsons, Dustin Gideon, Damon Smith-Rogers, Brandon Smith, Lakota Mann and Christian Smith; her stepgrandchildren, Ashley Lalik and Derek Roberts; and her great grandchild Bentley Lalik.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schaffer Funeral Home (529 Jefferson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (655 Wayne Ave, Defiance, OH 43512).
