He was predeceased by: his father Robert Athy; and his brother Rodney Athy. He is survived by: his mother Cora Athy (Turner) of Defiance; his children, Joshua Athy of Richmond, IN, Sean Athy (Kristin) of Auburn, IN and Tori Athy of Michigan; and his siblings, Jamie Athy of Defiance, Michael Athy (Dixie) of Elkhart, IN, Robin Athy Sr. (Tresae) of West Unity, OH and Kimberly Lovett of Wauseon, OH. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
