Kathleen R. Ensign Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kathleen R. Ensign of Defiance, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 6, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Lesh and Bertha Lesh (Rost); her husband Larry Ensign; her son Mark Ensign; her great grandchild Colton Sierra; and her sisters, Marge Oelfke and Dorothy Rothenberger (John Archambeault).
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Newman of Defiance, Mike Ensign (Barb) of Defiance, Cathy Ensign of Defiance, Cindy Williamson (Sam) of Defiance and Carolyn Rose (Denny) of Defiance; and her grandchildren, Carrie McMichael, Kim Spencer, Erica McGuire, Brandon Ensign, Jerad Ensign, Amber Ensign, Jeremy Sierra, Jessica Rivera, Jason Sierra, Nicole Morris, Austin Keel, Alex Keel, DeNae Galanakis and Alyssa Detray. She is also survived by 41 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schaffer Funeral Home (529 Jefferson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to Heartland Hospice.
