He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Leever and Margaret "Peg" Leever (Fraser); his sister Jane Ann Bishop; and his daughter Abby Jo Leever. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Boczar (David) of St. Simons Island, GA, Jessica Mann (Michael) of Cincinnati, OH and Robert "Bo" Leever of Defiance; his grandchildren, Owen Leever, Adam Leever, Lincoln Mann, Brooks Boczar, Jack Boczar, Abi Mann and Elyse Mann; and his siblings, Jeanne Zellers of Dallas, TX, Jody Johnson (Kyle) of Hamilton, IN and John Leever of Defiance.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to CHP Home Care & Hospice of Defiance.

“So very sorry to hear about Joe passing. I really remember that unique laugh of his and got to know Joe in 8th grade when we were paired up in Mr Miller’s shop class where we learned how to develop photos in the school dark room. Joe and I graduated together and he certainly will be missed by by all. RIP Joe Leever.”
