John Simon Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Simon of Defiance, Ohio, who passed away on January 16, 2023 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Simon and Helen Simon (Patterson); his siblings, Ida Hammann and Thad Simon; and his siblings-in-law, Denver Hammann, John Hauenstein, Leonard Dewitt and Sandra Simon.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy Simon (Seither) of Defiance; his children, Jennifer Giesey (Glenn) of Rolla, MO and Joshua Simon (Paula) of Sylvania, OH.; his grandchildren, Philip Giesey (Katherine Rickert) of Austin, TX, Abby, Noah, John, Lydia, J. J. Giesey of Missouri, Julia Giesey of Tennessee, Jacob, Benjamin and Katherine Simon of Sylvania; and his sisters, Mary Anne Hauenstein of Arizona and Jane Dewitt of Indiana. He is also survived by his family, colleagues, and many good friends.
