We are sad to announce that on February 16, 2023, at the age of 82, John Walter Schatz of Defiance, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Edward Schatz; and his sister Dorothy Schatz. He is survived by: his siblings, Marvin Schatz (Connie) of O'Fallon, IL, Roger George Schatz (Linda) of Defiance, James Schatz (Nancy) of Defiance, Barbara Partchey (Michael) of Fairview, PA and Linda Martin (Carl) of Portland, OR. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the St. John Lutheran Church Endowment Fund, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
