It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Katherine Figley of Defiance, Ohio, who passed away on November 15, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Grawbarger and Gladys Grawbarger (Brown); her husband Richard Figley; and her son Steve Melia. She is survived by: her children, David Figley (Danielle) of Defiance, Kris Tipton (Pat) of Defiance and Mike Melia of Ft. Wayne, IN. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Defiance Church of the Nazarene, Ft. Defiance Humane Society, or Heartland Hospice.
