It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Henry J. McCartney of Defiance, Ohio, who passed away on October 28, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Henry J. McCartney to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his father Henry McCartney; his wife Barbara McCartney (Merz); and his siblings, Frances Koch, Minnie Weber, Inyce Ankney, Rosemary Jervis, Ivan and Alfred Bower.

He is survived by: his children, Chuck McCartney (Sandy) of Defiance and Charlene Hazelton (Fred) of Pandora, OH. He is also survived by four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and several step-great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to ELARA Caring Hospice, or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
