She was predeceased by: her parents, John Meyer and Anna Meyer (Klima); and her siblings, Leona Baker, Bernard Meyer, Charles Meyer, Ruth Miller, Mary Deisler, Grace Wilhelm, Raymond Meyer and Elizabeth Ankney.
She is survived by: her husband Louis Simonis of Defiance; her children, Regina Kinzer (Richard) of Piney Flats, TN, Daniel Simonis (Puspa Lohmeyer) of Bisbee, AZ, Anna Rivera (Jose) of Valencia, Deborah Drennan (Steve) of Dunlap, IL, Nathan Simonis (Anita) of Alexandria, OH and Jason Simonis (Wendy Risner) of Columbus, OH.; her grandchildren, Lauren Bigger (Matthew), Ellen Kinzer (Robert Schwartz), Andrew Rivera (Noelle), Javier Rivera (Sofie), Julia Curtis (Nathan), Dr. Antony Gayed (Meredith), Simon Gayed (Erin), Mary Gayed, Evan Simonis and Willa Simonis; and her great grandchildren, Clara Bigger, Isaac, Aaron Bigger, Charlie, Therese, Monica, Xavier, Agnes Curtis, Ava, Alexander, Antony Gayed, Isabella, Layla Gayed, Milo Rivera and Benjamin Rivera.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schaffer Funeral Home (529 Jefferson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512). A rosary was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Isidore Catholic Church (16166 Speaker Rd, Sherwood, OH 43556).
Memorials are suggested to any Catholic Church for Masses.
