He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Batt and Rosa Batt; his sisters, Valetta Keeterle and Rosemary Meyer; and his grandson Michael Jorkos.

He is survived by: his fiancé Laurel Minck; and his children, Shelli Jorkos (George) of Stryker, Larry Batt (Annette) of Defiance, Linda Miller (Brian) of Antwerp and Michael Minck (Candy) of Grover Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to one of the Local Defiance Alcoholics Anonymous Groups or Elara Caring Hospice Foundation.
