We bid farewell to Alan L. Bird of Defiance, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 29, 2024 at the age of 76. Alan touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Bird and Maxine Bird (Markle); his great grandchild Jace Bird; and his sister Vivian Segur (Bill). He is survived by: his spouse Evalee Gilliam; and his children, Paul Bird (Amberiee) of Ney, Richard Bird (Megan) of Defiance, Lori Springer (Christopher) of Archbold, Stephanie Glassley (Philip) of Bluffton, IN and Anthony Bird (Ashla) of Continental. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM at the Heitmeyer Funeral Home - Oakwood (610 Walnut St, Oakwood, OH 45873). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
