He was predeceased by: his parents, T. A. Rajammal and K. A. Ramanathan. He is survived by: his grandchild Thatha; his wife Jalaja Anantharaman (Gigi); his brother Mani; his children, Nandini Shastry, Ranjini Malhotra, Sujatha Reddy, Arun Reddy and Bobby Ashish Malhotra; his grandchildren, Tejas Shastry, Meagan Floyd, Alekha Malhotra, Arjun Reddy and Vishnu Reddy; his great grandchild Zona Shastry (Ravi Shastry); his children, Tejas, Atul and Akhil; and his grandsons, Atul and Akhil Shastry. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
