He was predeceased by: his wife Marianne Mullen; and his parents, Margaret Mullen and Eugene Mullen. He is survived by: his children, Patrick Mullen (Marla), John Mullen (Lynne), Beverly Idzakovich (John), Jean Sexton (Flynn) and James Mullen (Kristin); and his grandchildren, Ryan Mullen, Katie Mullen, Andrea Morter, Shawn Mullen, Kaitlyn Mullen, Heather Pass, Johnny Idzakovich, Colleen Idzakovich, Matthew Idzakovich, Patrick Sexton, Kimberly Sexton, Kristina Mantoan, Maureen Mullen and Carolyn Mullen.
