Thelma Rice Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thelma Rice in Dayton, Ohio, born in Monterey, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 1, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Thelma may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Monroe Greene Rice and Betty Catherine Rice; and her siblings, Gene, Stella, Juanita, Fay and Don.
She is survived by: her siblings, Betty Sue Barnes and Dewey Rice (Violet). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Northridge Free Will Baptist Church (4800 Payne Ave, Dayton, OH 45414). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
