She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Akers and Annie Akers (Evans); her husband Foster; her son Eugene Akers; her siblings, Evan, Wendell, Lovell, Eugene Akers and Magaline Patrick; and her sons-in-law, Johnny Bryant and John Horn.

She is survived by: her children, Loretta Wyatt (Butch), Justine Bryant, Mabeline Horn, Foster Jr. Akers (Angela) and Mark Akers (Pam); and her siblings, Austin Akers, Amaline Damron, Marline Spears and Avonelle Spears. She is also survived by many beautiful grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
