He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kizer and Hilda Kizer (Haas); his siblings, Byron D. Kizer and Shirley A. Myers; and his former wife Virginia.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Charles Kizer (Jennifer) of Council Bluffs, IA and Rebecca Kizer of Dayton; his stepchildren, Matthew Haines (Margie) of Bellefontaine, Paul Miller of Dayton and Dennise Anderson of Bellefontaine; his niece Nancy Coppack of Beavercreek; and his nephews, Byron Kizer of Beavercreek and Tom Kizer of Lake Wynoka, OH..

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 18th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel (118 Woodland Ave, Dayton, OH 45409).
