He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Ward and Hazel Ward; his son Charlie Ward; and his sister Kathleen Wooton. He is survived by: his wife Kay Ward; his children, Susan Thomas (Jonathan), Richard Ward (Debbie), Ken Ward (Barb) and Maggie Hamm; his grandchildren, Nolan (Meghan), Joel, Evan (Erica), Simon, Hayley (Rob), Colin, Melanie, Elliot (Hannah), Kyle, Eric (Jessica) and Dustin (Catie); and his great grandchildren, Alayna, Christopher, Clark, Emma, Lars, Julia and Nora.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Christ United Methodist Church (3440 Shroyer Rd, Kettering, OH 45429).
