She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Searight and Jennie B. Searight; her sons, Carlos Hord and Thomas Gay; and her siblings, Frank, Edward, Rodney Searight, Mattie Botts, Margaret Botts and Ovella Walker.
She is survived by: her children, Marquetta Gay, Phillip Gay, Patricia Palmer (David), Tonya Gay and Juan; and her grandchildren, Tameisha D. Hord, Marlaine Jones, Myron Banks (Sophia), Maleeka Banks, Melvin Banks Jr., Corey Gay, Nikole Taylor, Nicholas Gay, Justin Gay, Jordan Gay, Jaylen Mack, Jaleel Mack, Melissa Gay, Thomas Gay Jr. and Juan A Gay.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Faith Temple Pentecostal Church of God (1350 Kumler Ave, Dayton, OH 45406). A burial was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at the West Memory Gardens (6722 Hemple Rd, Moraine, OH 45418).
