He was predeceased by: his parent William Kennedy; his daughter Nancy Mohr; his brother Paul Kennedy; and his great grandchildren, Kourtney and Jayden.

He is survived by: his parent Icie Kennedy; his wife Phyllis; his children, Vicky Kennedy Barger and William Lester Kennedy (Janet); and his sisters, Patricia Waymeyer (Howard) and Bonnie Stump (Kenny). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
