Kenneth F. Franklund Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth F. Franklund (Dayton, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 1, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Kenneth is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Kenneth's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Frankenstein and Lillian Frankenstein; his wife Karen Franklund (Slater); and his sisters, Ruth Dickinson and Lois Wenthe.

He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Kinkead (Kent), Janet Baughn (Michael) and Susan Morgann (Matthew); and his sister Judy Timper. He is also survived by his three daughters, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church (4865 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH 45440). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church Endowment Fund to support its mission programs—a cause close to Ken's heart.
