He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bauer and Clara Bauer. He is survived by: his wife Teri; his daughter Teresa Williams (Scott); his grandson Jackson; and his siblings, Jimmy Bauer and Judy Hanshaw (Art). He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Dayton Children's Hospital in Joe's honor.
