She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Weis and Beatrice Weis; her husband Ken Shelton Sr.; and her siblings, Ray Weis Jr. and Rheadele Morrow.
She is survived by: her son Ken Shelton Jr. (Luann); her grandsons, Zach Shelton (Katie), Travis Shelton (Andrea Ames) and Kyle Shelton (Kellie); her nephew Tom Morrow; and her friend Patty Eberle. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Westbrock Funeral Home- Kettering (5980 Bigger Rd, Dayton, OH 45440). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (4500 Ackerman Blvd, Kettering, OH 45429). A prayer was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Calvary Chapel (4197 Dayton Xenia Rd, Dayton, OH 45432).
Her contributions to her community and beyond are numerous and lasting.More than her professional accomplishments, Joan was a beacon of love and warmth.
