She was predeceased by: her parents, John Breig and Emma Breig; her former husband Louis Fortener (Lou); her husband John Ritzert; her sisters, Glenna, Vera, Norma, Agnes, Ruth, Anna Mae, Mary Ellen, Grace, Betty and Patti; her grandchildren, Jodi and Zachary; and her stepson Mark Ritzert.
She is survived by: her sons, Bill Fortener (Sue), Rick Fortener (Rick), John Fortener (Wendy) and Rob Fortener (Jane); her sister Rita Wilhelm; and her stepchildren, Mike Ritzert (Edie), Linda Mayhall (Mike) and Beth Ritzert.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home (2100 E Stroop Rd, Dayton, OH 45429). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ascension Catholic Church (2025 Woodman Dr, Kettering, OH 45420).
