Heather Michele McComas Obituary
Heather M. McComas, 51, of Dayton, Ohio passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, and grandma. She fought an 18-year battle with lupus, survived meningitis, and had many other health obstacles along the road. Heather never complained and was one of the strongest fighters we know.
Heather was born June 16, 1970, in Dayton, Ohio to Dave and Linda McComas. She graduated from Beavercreek High School in 1988. She enjoyed working for Serv U Success at the Fairborn Meijer.
Heather had many passions and talents. She had a heart of gold and never knew a stranger. She was always thinking more of others than herself. Her love for her family was immeasurable. She prioritized the happiness and well-being of those around her. She was so talented; there was not a craft she couldn't do. She put her own special touch on everything she made. Another pastime was eating out with friends and family. A few of her favorites were Cherry House Café, Waffle House, Texas Roadhouse, and Old Hickory. Heather's pride and joy was her family and her beloved dog, Oliver.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents Joe and Mary Becks, father Dave McComas, brother-in-law Bryan Rogers, and niece Michelle Rogers. She is survived by her children: Corey (Easter) McComas, Johnathon (Yolanda) Miller, Chris (Sarah) Miller, William (Alaina) Miller; her mother: Linda McComas, and siblings: Holly McComas and Ben (Sherry) McComas. She was a special aunt to Megan, Josh, Amber, Jessi, Brandon, Dillon, Zach, Owen, Olivia, Abbi, Aydin, Landon, Dominic, Beckett, Jaelynn, and Kinsley. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Mark Oxman, Dr. Sandford Wolfe, and Ms. Stacy.
A public visitation will be held on Sunday, January 9th from 1-3PM at the Tobias Funeral Home - Beavercreek chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road followed by a 3PM Celebration of Life service. Memorial contributions can be made out to the Lupus Foundation of America.
