She was predeceased by: her mother Fannie L. Luckie; her brother Eddie R. Luckie; and her niece Michelle Luckie. She is survived by: her daughters, Maree A. Dennis (Charleston) and Letitia R. Dennis of Chicago, IL; her niece Theresa Smith of Dayton, OH; her nephews, Kenneth Smith (Dee) of Dallas, TX and Aaron Luckie (Rhonda) of Las Vegas, NV; her granddaughter Kharaan Abraham; her great grandchild Tatum Horton-Tucker; the father of her children Leon P. Dennis; and her friends, Laura Lewis, Lucretia "Cee Cee" Ivory, Pat Wiley, Robert Odon, James Wiley, George Johnson, Alfred Hairston, Marie Green and Karen Johnson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church (519 Liscum Dr, Dayton, OH 45417). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Vincent DePaul in honor of Gloria Jean Dennis.
