Duane Banta Fornshell Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Duane Banta Fornshell (Dayton, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 7, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurence Harmon and Marie Azalia Fornshell (Banta); his wife Mary Kathryn; his siblings, Harmon "Joe", Myron, Charles, Gary, Donald Fornshell, Frances Fornshell and Eva Goodrich; his son-in-law Billy Burnett; his great grandchild Raelynn; and his friend Willieta Faber.
He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Davis (Sammy) of Tipp City, Lisa Fornshell of Riverside and Mary Melissa Weaver (Bill) of Riverside; his grandchildren, Mary "Libby" Stanze (Tony) of Piqua, James Woolery (Kristy) of Greenfield, IN, Meghan Fornshell of Springfield and Brittany Gunckel (Donavon) of Dayton; his great grandchildren, Destiny, Stella, Little Mary K, Briar and Mary May; and his siblings, Dale Fornshell (Valerie), Paul Fornshell (Cheryl), Gerald Fornshell (Pam), Zula Fairchild and Marcella Coffman (Roger). He is also survived by 3 children.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424).
