It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deborah Wettstein Staton of Dayton, Ohio, born in Great Neck, New York, who passed away on June 22, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband James Brooks Staton III of Greensboro; her mother Marguerite of Winter Park; her children, Jennifer Staton Kreick (Kyle) of Dallas and Jonathan Calvin Staton (Russala) of Greensboro; her brothers, Theodore Arnold Wettstein (Emily) of The Villages and John Frederick Wettstein (Eve) of Tallahassee; her granddaughters, Penelope Brooks (Pippa) and Madeline Louise Kreick (Lou Lou); her sisters-in-law, Martha Lynne Swaringen and Ashley Elmore Staton Scott; her nephews, Jim Swaringen (Kelly), Joe Swaringen (Grace) and Nick Wettstein; her niece Mary Jane Mason (Elliot); her great-nieces, Clara and Eleanor; her niece Emily Wettstein; her great-niece Caroline; her niece Sophie Wettstein; her cousins, Julie, Margaret, Sue, Kathy, Jonathan, Peter, Chris, Calvin and Richard; her aunt Elizabeth; and her wirehaired dachshund Max. She is also survived by her many friends who are like her extended family.
