She was predeceased by: her parents, Elwood Skaggs and Delores Cantrell. She is survived by: her granddaughters, Kelsey Smith and Kendra Smith; her son-in-law Donny Smith; her husband Chris Gilbert; her daughters, Christy Smith and Michelle Lee; her grandchildren, Donny, Katelynn, Devin, Daxter, Kylee, Carlene and Kendrick; her brothers, Dennis Skaggs (Katy) and Michael Skaggs; and her uncle Albert Meyers. She is also survived by her grandchildren and family, motorcycle trips with her husband.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The American Lung Cancer Association in Cindy's honor.
