She was predeceased by: her husband Harley Reed Baum Jr.; her parents, Olen Wray and Martha Wray (Brubaker); her son James Allen Baum; her sister Mary Alexander (Wray); and her close friend Tom Smith.

She is survived by: her sons, Michael Baum (Patrice) of Manitou Springs and Jeff Baum (Denise) of Troy, Ohio; her daughter-in-law Karen Henry Baum of Richmond, Kentucky; her brother William Wray (Joan) of Fairborn, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Abby Ramos (Bryan), Zachary Baum (Beth), Emily Baum Brian, Andrea Baum and Erin King (Brad). She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ohio Hospice in Betty's name.
