He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin and Theresa (Berg); and his wife Martha Keane. He is survived by: his children, Scott (Nancy), John (Ines) and Kathryn (Jeffrey); his grandchildren, Benjamin (Heather), Jason (Tim), Meghan (Timothy), John Jr. and Daniel; his great grandchildren, Jeremy and Eleanor; and his siblings, James Schnier and Carol Behringer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home - Kettering (2100 E Stroop Rd, Dayton, OH 45429). The military honors will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home (2100 E Stroop Rd, Dayton, OH 45429). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the St. George's Episcopal Church (5520 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, OH 45429).
