It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara L. Hosford (Dayton, Ohio), who passed away on February 6, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Schwartz and Rita Schwartz (Reinert); her siblings, Gary Schwartz (Wanda), Lee Schwartz, Joanilla Schwartz and Daniel Schwartz; her brother-in-law Kenneth Hindman; her grandson Eli Hosford; and her great grandchild William Rossi.
She is survived by: her husband John L. Hosford; her children, Michael (Christine), John (Joy), Nicholas (Jill) and Tina; her sisters, Mimi Moebius (Dick), Renee Teague (Thomas), Jenny Hindman, Cindy Seibert (Michael), Amy King and Angie Schwartz; her sisters-in-law, Cathi Heaton (Jim), Jan Schwartz and Chris Schwartz; her grandchildren, Cassie Rossi (Brian), Brandon, Daniel, Sydney, Aaron, Luke, Noah (Morgan), Sarah Hood (Joshua), Elizabeth, Simon, Abigail, Ethan, Jacob (Kim), Timothy (Sophia), Andrew, Katie and Marcus; her stepgrandchildren, Adam (Tara), Kyle (Kelsey) and Elliott Heckler; and her great grandchildren, Emma Rossi, Ella Joy Hood and Matthew James Hosford. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home - Kettering (2100 E Stroop Rd, Dayton, OH 45429). A Mass was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ascension Catholic Church (2025 Woodman Dr, Kettering, OH 45420). A burial was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at the Calvary Cemetery (1625 Calvary Ave, Dayton, OH 45409).
Memorial contributions may be made in Barbara's name to the Catholic Ministries Appeal.
