He was predeceased by: his parents, William Carroll and Martha Carroll (Comley); his wife Doris; and his siblings, William Carroll, Jr., Marcella Cox and Forrest Carroll.

He is survived by: his daughters, Annette Carroll-McPheron and Tricia Carroll; his grandchildren, Joshua Carroll, Jessica McPheron and Tyler Martin Benbow; his great grandchildren, Braxton McPheron, Phoenix McPheron, Alexis Carroll and Tyson Carroll; and his sister Jannie Mae Marshall. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
