He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Hammond and Wava Hammond (Workman); his sisters, Linda Parrish (Lanny) and Catherine "Kay" Stimpert (Larry); and his parents-in-law, Carroll and Betty Harding.

He is survived by: his wife Sue Ann Hammond (Harding); his daughters, Leslie Hammond (Matthew Kochenspager), Christy Bennett and Amber Annett (Matt); his grandchildren, Trenten, Trever Sturgeon, Sydney Bennett and Connor McCammon; his brothers, Scott Hammond (Aimee) and Mike Hammond (Jean); his nephew Burk Hammond; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Mabe (Joe Tharp), Lori Moore (Jon), Joseph Harding (Carol) and Stephen Harding (Connie).
