He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Anderton and Edna Anderton (Dunwoody); his former wife Joan Anderton (Breckler); his daughter Misty Leaver; and his sister Carol.

He is survived by: his wife Vicky; and his daughters, Michelle Beeman of Mount Vernon, OH and Heather Smith of Newark, OH. He is also survived by 7 siblings and 25 nieces and nephews.
