He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Gardner and Gladys Gardner (Klein); his grandson Matthew; his siblings, Homer Jr., Robert Gardner, Wilma Domer (Ronald) and June Sandwith (Leslie); and his brothers-in-law, Ronnie Davis and Richard "Dick" Yerian.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Gardner; his sons, Terry Gardner (Pam) of Brookpark, Timothy Gardner (Lisa) of Dalton and Todd Gardner (Susan) of Massillon; his grandchildren, Chad Gardner (Katie), Chase Gardner (Michelle), Devon Gasser (Phil), Ashley Williamson (Brian), Brittany Herzog (Tyler) and Courtney Gardner (Quintero Sears); his great grandchildren, Cameron, Gracie, Harper, Wesley, Charlotte, Emma, Keegan and Brooks; his siblings, Jack Gardner (Cindy), Donald Gardner (Rose), Joyce Yerian and Sue Davis; his sister-in-law Ronna Gardner; and his close friend Todd Shanklin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
