He was predeceased by: his stepfather Preston Crihfield; his mother Loretta Crihfield; his great grandchild Jayden Niehaus; his nephew Daniel J. Crihfield; his brother James Crihfield; his grandson Travis Tice; and his father-in-law Paul Merreot.
He is survived by: his wife Denise Canterbury; his children, Richard L. Canterbury of Wooster, Robin Canterbury of Wooster, Joel Canterbury of Canton, Katie Canterbury Brown (Monte Brown) of Altus, OK and Dustin Canterbury of Dalton; his grandchildren, Joshua Niehaus (Ashley Niehaus) of Wooster, Rebecca Perry of Canton, Clarrissa Hinesley (Lee Hinesley) of Orange, TX, Gary Perry Jr. (Santana Sanders) of Shreve and Logan Brown of Altus, OK; his brother Randy Canterbury; his mother-in-law Jean Merreot; and his sister-in-law Renee Landers (Gary Wimer). He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
