He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Horst and Rhoda Horst (Burkhart); his wife Ardella R. Champ; his son Karl Jay Horst; his siblings, Leonard Horst and Vanita Tadeo; and his siblings-in-law, Eva Jane Horst and Paul Kauffman.
He is survived by: his sons, Clair Horst (Yommala) of Orrville and Merl Horst of Dalton; his siblings, Willis Horst (June) and Emma Kauffman; and his brother-in-law Raul Tadeo (Anna) of Dalton.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the County Line Mennonite Church (19199 Church Rd, Dalton, OH 44618). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
