He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Pumphrey and Wilma Pumphrey (Conrad); his son Hollie Murray Pumphrey; and his sister Lovie Keener. He is survived by: his wife Kitty; his sons, Bill Pumphrey Jr. (Tammy) of Wooster, Mike Pumphrey (Cindy) of Wooster, Destery Pumphrey (Tammy) of Orrville and Burl Pumphrey (Sammi Jo) of Orrville; his daughter-in-law Jeanie May Pumphrey of Marshallville; his mother-in-law Betty Waller; his sisters, Evelyn Heater (Jim) and Sharon Lester (Wes); and his brother-in-law Jim Keener.
