He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira M. Wilson and Edith Fryman Kennedy; and his brothers, Garry Lee Kennedy, James "Jimmy" Wilson and Michael "Mike" Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Gretchen Wilson (Herron); his children, Monica Wilson McNeeley (Dan) and Todd E. Wilson (Kristy); his grandchildren, Daniel R. McNeeley, Jr., Richard E. McNeeley, Joshua B. McNeeley, Alyssa K. Wilson (Zach Swiat) and Katrina N. Wilson; and his siblings, John David Kennedy (Phyllis), JoAnna Kennedy Davis (Terry), Elizabeth May Kennedy McDaniel (Charlie), Bruce Kennedy, Sr. (Susan), Barbara Wilson Morris (Jeep) and Gary Wilson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nieces and nephews.
