He is survived by: his spouse Suzanne "Sue" Distel; his children, Benjamin Solarik of Cygnet, Amanda Wickard (Nolan) of Wayne, Kimberly Kurzenhauser (Pat) of Columbiana and Sarah Solarik of Columbus; his sisters, Bette Reiter (Rodney) of Fostoria and Linda Snow (Dan) of Bowling Green; and his grandchildren, Hayden Wickard, Gavin Solarik, Bailey Solarik, Coen Wickard, Emerson Wickard, Thea Kurzenhauser and Lincoln Wickard.
