He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Arnold and Lillian Arnold (Snyder); and his brother Harold Arnold. He is survived by: his wife Elaine R. Bitter; his children, Steven Arnold (Melissa) of Bloomdale, Brian Arnold (Monica) of Portage and Amy Thomson (Steven) of Grand Rapids; his grandchildren, Morgan Slone (Jesse), Madison Arnold, Staci Thomson, Courtney Thomson, Aaron Arnold (Jenna Irwin), Allison Arnold and Alex Arnold; and his great grandchild Harrison Slone.

Memorial donations may be made in Jim's honor to St. Mark's Lutheran Church or Elmwood Athletic Boosters.
