He was predeceased by: his parents, Burton W. Dain and Elma Dain (Maloney); his wife Greta Mae Horr; and his siblings, Bob, Paul and Aileen Prodan.
He is survived by: his children, Diana Truxell (Ron), Bill (Rachelle) and Sandy Millsaps (Luther); and his grandchildren, Kevin Truxell, Scott Truxell (Sarah Jackson), Elizabeth Beebe (Brett), Katie Breckenridge (Kurt), Abby Millsaps (David Hampu), Ethan Millsaps (Amy) and Molly Millsaps. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
