He was predeceased by: his wife Clare Rita Gorbach (Tucker); and his parents, Nelson J Gorbach and Marie C Gorbach (Harb). He is survived by: his sister Marnelle Lucas; his nieces and nephews, Ann Cronin (Alfred), Margaret Lucas (Scott Seppi), George Lucas, John Lucas (Tonya) and David Lucas (Fabienne); his great-nephew Timothy Gorbach (Pamela); his granddaughters, Abigail Castro (Mel) and Meghan Gorbach; his great grandchild Mark Gorbach; his grandsons, Connor and Liam Gorbach; and also Alan Gorbach (Brooke).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Nelson's memory to Walsh High School.
