He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Viola (Hallstrom) and John Henry Nelson; and his brother Donald Irwin Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Barb; his son Matthew Henry Nelson; and his siblings, Ardean Blenda Baumgardner of Kinsman, Ohio and Eric John Henry Nelson (Janet) of Garrettsville, Ohio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305, USA). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
