We bid farewell to Joann Gilchrist (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 13, 2024 at the age of 87. Joann touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Chambless and Alice Chambless; her husband Joseph Gilchrist; and her son John. She is survived by: her children, Teresa Babb, Catherine Gilchrist, Susan Zanin (John), Michael Gilchrist (Judy), Anne Bee (Bruce) and Mary Ertley (Steve); and her grandchildren, Dena, Claire, Andy, Emily, Patty, Joe, Annie, Jim, Mike, Tommy and Danny. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223). A Mass will be held on Monday, October 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 21st 2024 at 12:15 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (100 E Waterloo Rd, Akron, OH 44319).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ministry for the Needy or the Father McIntyre Fund at Immaculate Heart of Mary, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44223.
