He was predeceased by: his parents, Adriaan van of Heijning and Anna Hoefmans; and his grandson Adam Van De Heijning. He is survived by: his wife Mariette Verheijen; his sons, Patrick Van De Heijning of Rudolph and Mark Van De (Betsey); his sisters, Maria Van De (Fons), Belgium Heijning and Jeanne Van De Heijning of Merksplas; and his grandsons, Nolan Barber, Luke Van De Heijning and Tommy Van De Heijning.
