He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus F. Gant and Joan Dettra Gant; his brother Ronald Gant; his parents-in-law, William and Mildred Murrey Rossiter; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Davis and James Rossiter.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debra S. Johnson (Randall) of Cambridge and Dianna L. Cox (Tim) of Cumberland; his grandchildren, James M. Perkins (Lindsay) of Strasburg, Brandi J. Robinson (Tyler) of Caldwell, Maala M. Cox (John Goss) of Zanesville and Kaala L. Cox of Cumberland; his wife Judy Belle Rossiter Gant; his brother Steve Gant (Mary) of Caldwell; his sister-in-law Barbara Bates of Virginia; and his son-in-law Jim Perkins (Lora) of Caldwell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
