He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Gabel and Florence Price Gabel; his granddaughter Alyssa Sue Jones; his daughter-in-law Susan K. Belle; and his sister Catherine Parsons.
He is survived by: his wife Andrea Lou Degenhart Gabel; his children, Jeanine Gabel of Cumberland, Lou Gabel of Cumberland, Shelly Thompson (Chris) of Old Washington, OH, Donna Lanning (William) of Byesville, OH and Paula Gabel of Cumberland; and his sister-in-law Cindy Kay Bebout of Byesville, OH.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, friends, and "adopted" children.
